The scale of the complex is certain to be above expectations, covering an area of 2 km2, but you can easily see the majority of the places of interest in a morning, especially if you decide to start early enough to see the sunrise. Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it faces west instead of the usual requirement to face east. Built between 1113 and 1150, it eventually changed to a Buddhist Wat (temple) in the 13th century after a religious revolution in Cambodia. You will have plenty of time to explore most of the complex; you will be amazed at the intricate carvings and bas-reliefs, the long terraces, the many different pavilions and galleries.

Bicycle Tour from Cambodian Border to Siem Riep with Siya

My family and I (3 of us) just spent 6 fantastic days cycling through Cambodia with Siya and our driver. We had an excellent trip - Siya was an outstanding guide, very friendly, very fit and very knowledgeable. He genuinely seemed happy to be guiding us "tourists' around and loves cycling and photography. Siya was a pleasure to spend 6 days with. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to spend quality time in Cambodia and learn about the culture and see the countryside. He has great knowledge of the local bike routes too. Thank you, Siya.

Siem Reap best guide

We spent 2 days in Siem Reap with best guide, Siya Pouv! He and his wife Kim took great care of us. Ankor temples were fantastic and as my wife has vision and balance problems, Siya tailored the walking to our capabilities and gave us a great appreciation for the complex. We also visited floating village on the lake and walking thru the markets. His knowledge of Cambodian life and history gave us a real understanding and insight of this country. He truely went beyond our expectations! Great command of English. Ask for him if you want a superb and fun tour—he is also a guide for other Cambodia’s cities and would do a great job!
